Calculateur de Retirement

Estimate retirement savings growth with monthly contributions.

Formula and method

This calculator computes Estimated balance directly in your browser without sending data to an external server.

Mathematical formula

  • Estimated balance: (() => { const n=years × 12, r=rate ÷ 1200, growth=1+r^(n); return r===0 ? current+monthly × n : (Number.isFinite(growth) ? current × growth+monthly × ((growth-1) ÷ r) : NaN); })()

Variables and parameters

  • Current savings (current): default value 50000 $.
  • Monthly contribution (monthly): default value 750 $.
  • Annual return (rate): default value 6 %.
  • Years (years): default value 30.

Some formulas are undefined for certain input combinations (such as division by zero or logarithms of non-positive numbers). In those cases the live tool displays an alert instead of NaN.
